The
Institute for Behavior Therapy began operations in 1971. Clients are served
by our professional staff of Psychologists, Psychiatrists, and Post Doctoral
Fellows. The Institute provides behavioral consultants to other public
and private treatment centers, school systems and corporations and maintains
both an active speakers bureau and professional library.
In addition the Institute provides training services and clinically relevant
research opportunities.
The Institute will be providing long distance therapy over the Internet
in the near future.
Our
patients are taught the skills and helpful thinking patterns which will
assist them in both coping with and overcoming their problems. All therapies
offered are based on the latest scientific information and research.
Hundreds
of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, and Social Workers have been trained
at the Institute for Behavior Therapy in the theory and techniques of
cognitive behavior therapy. Many have gone on to major positions around
the world. Our Continuing Education Courses for postdoctoral Fellows have
been approved by the American Psychological Association.
